Almabaev Ydyrys Almabaevich, born in 1950, graduated from the medical faculty of the Aktobe State Medical Institute in 1973, after completing an internship in surgery, he remained to work as an assistant and senior lecturer in the department of operative surgery and topographic anatomy. In 1994, he successfully defended his candidate's dissertation on the topic: "The state of central and hepatic hemodynamics during surgical correction of post- resection pulmonary hypertension." In October 1999, he was enrolled in doctoral studies with secondment to the department of operative surgery and topographic anatomy of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov to complete his dissertation work. In 2003, during a consultation with the head of the department, Professor A.A. Idrisov completed and successfully defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences on the topic: Morphofunctional state of the liver during pulmonectomy and various methods of correcting its consequences. In 2004, he was awarded the academic title of associate professor, and in 2009 - the title of professor of medicine and on 01.12.2015 he was elected Academician of the Academy of Clinical and Fundamental Medicine of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2016, he was awarded the honorary title of "Honored Worker of Science and Education" of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. From February 2003, he worked as an associate professor and from March 1, 2004 to August 28, 2013, as a professor of the Department of Clinical Anatomy and Operative Surgery of the S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University. From October 1, 2008 to December 1, 2010, he concurrently headed the clinical and experimental laboratory organized by him Research Institute of Physics and Mechanics named after B.A. Atchabarov. From August 28, 2013 to September 01, 2019, he headed the Department of Clinical Anatomy and Operative Surgery of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov. From September 01, 2019 to September 2020, he was responsible for the course of clinical anatomy on a voluntary basis. Under his leadership, research work was carried out on the topic: "Morphofunctional state of internal organs during surgical and pharmacological correction of the consequences of pulmonectomy." On this topic, 3 doctoral and 8 candidate dissertations were defended and approved.
